Why Redundant Internet Matters
We have told you guys about our 99% uptime guarantee, but we want to tell you why we can make such a solid promise- with Internet Redundancy.
In order to provide the best, most reliable cloud solutions, we needed an infrastructure that could carry the load of our growing business without fail. We didn’t want to rely on a system that anyone else had created, so we did what other great innovators do — we built our own.
The Trapp Technology Difference: Internet Redundancy
For the past few years, we’ve poured our heart and soul into building an incredibly resilient internet mesh that we use for our cloud hosting solutions. Most cloud hosting providers have one or two Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to handle their traffic. While that certainly may work, we wanted to create a system that would be ultra-redundant to provide a nearly fail proof connection. Instead of one or two ISPs, Trapp Technology utilizes up to four ISPs.
That’s great! Four! But what really makes the difference is that we run all of our ISPs simultaneously as opposed to just having them as a “back up”. That means there’s a very small chance that our system will be disconnected. Think of it this way — if you had a cell phone that could run on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint simultaneously, you’d be hard pressed to find an instance where you didn’t have coverage. Even if one provider is down, our users aren’t affected because all of our ISPs run at the same time.
We’ve customized our internet mesh to be fully adjustable so that it is always running at the highest, fastest level possible. In order for the cloud to be an efficient solution, you’ve got to make sure your cloud provider can pull their own weight when it comes to internet speeds and reliability. Can your cloud provider say that they have an internet solution as resilient as ours?
