Glenn Moyer, Senior System Administrator | Trapp Technology

Glenn-300x200

Describe your job here at Trapp Technology.
My job is to make sure the client can work. I’m the highest level technician, so if none of our other other techs can’t resolve an issue, it comes to me.

What are you known for professionally?
I’m extremely good at troubleshooting.

How long have you been doing what you do?
Since 1995. While working at my first job out of high school, I realized quickly that, even though I wasn’t in IT, I was the person co-workers came to when they needed technical support.

Where can we find you when you’re not working?
I love to travel. If I could, I’d be on an airplane every weekend. I flew to for Tokyo the weekend once.

What’s your favorite childhood memory?
Ha! My friend and I setting fire to a field. The fire department came out and everything. We were just kids, so we didn’t get into any trouble, but it was an experience.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in South Florida, and I lived there until I was 22.

Do you have any volunteer activities or non-profits that you’re crazy about?
I’ve done a lot of volunteer work through church, and I always love to help out  friends — moving, repairing things, stuff like that.

Do you have any awards or certifications?
I’ve been a Microsoft Certified Professional since 1998.

What was your first job, and would you do it again if you had to?
Bagging the Sunday paper for the Sun Sentinel in Ft. Lauderdale. We’d get there really early to help the drivers bag papers. I was 12 or 13 years old.

What would be impossible for you to give up?
I’d say I would not be able to give up travelling and being able to fly around the world. Even if it’s just road trips, I’d have to be able to travel.

Have you ever been told you look like someone famous?
Ha! Yes. Rick Moranis, specifically when he was in The Flintstones.

You were just given a yacht. What would you name it?
Extraordinary Rendition.

Is there a fun fact about you that you’d like to share?
I can fly an airplane. I come from a long line of pilots.
