Arizona-based IT solutions provider to present a CISO-led educational session and treat attendees to a Phoenix Suns game from the Trapp Technology corporate suite.

Phoenix, Arizona — March 8, 2018 — Trapp Technology, trapptechnology.com, a Phoenix-based provider of IT, voice, and cloud hosting solutions, has announced that it will present two educational events on March 13 and March 17, 2018. The events will begin at the Trapp Technology offices in mid-town Phoenix, and continue at the Phoenix Suns game at Talking Stick Resort Arena in downtown Phoenix.

The educational event, which is part of a larger series of seminars focusing on cybersecurity, brings together industry thought leaders and experts in a collaborative environment that facilitates discussion, education, and networking. Headlining the event is Jim Mapes, CISO of Trapp Technology, with his presentation “CryptoCoinCraze: 21st Century Snake-oil or Money of the Future?”

“Cryptocurrency isn’t just the buzz word of the day; it’s a new economic boom with a market cap over $460 billion. With that much real world value, it’s an investment trend that is going to stay with us,” says Mapes. “However, even with all of the press coverage of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, few people understand the technology behind the scenes, how the system works, and the risks and potential abuses. Interested investors should arm themselves with the knowledge required to self-assess the investment opportunities that this market boom has produced.”

This seminar will explore the most pertinent elements of cryptocurrency beyond its recent increase in popularity. As a global phenomenon, the crypto coin craze has become known by everyone but understood by few. This treatise will explain the foundations, explore the hazards, and discuss the cyber-risks and benefits of cryptocurrency and arm you with the facts.

Following the presentation on cryptocurrency, attendees are invited to join Mapes for the Phoenix Suns game at the Trapp Technology corporate suite. Food and drinks will be provided.

Technology and financial professionals can take advantage of the free admission to both the presentation and the Phoenix Suns basketball game, as well as obtain two continuing education credit hours. Each attendee will receive a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the seminar.

Trapp Technology has hosted similar events that educate professionals about the current cyber threat landscape, and how they can take steps toward mitigating those risks.

“We believe the best line of defense is an educated professional,” says Trapp Technology Director of Marketing Jay Bouche. “Everyone’s curiosity is piqued right now because cryptocurrency is unlike anything we’ve ever seen, and is being touted by some as a good investment opportunity. This will be extremely informative for our attendees, with a side of Phoenix Suns basketball.”
