Results from GigaOM Research provides insight on Future of Cloud Computing from 2013.

The 2013 Future of Cloud Computing 3rd Annual Survey was conducted in partnership with GigaOM Research and 57 industry collaborators. The findings were encouraging, and show that the future of the cloud looks like there are sunny skies ahead!

The cloud is taking off, no doubt due to how it drives innovation, provides a scalable solution, and increases collaboration. Users are beginning to see the cloud’s full potential, and it’s really exciting to see the cloud at it’s tipping point. Cloud adoption is on the rise, and the survey respondents confirmed that the cloud is here to stay. Unsurprisingly, software as a service remains the most common cloud structure with nearly two thirds of responding organizations utilizing the cloud for their software, up 15% from 2012. You can see the entire study below. It’s worth a look!
